Graduate Nutrition Professional
The Graduate Nutrition Professional works under the direction of the Registered Dietitian and in collaboration with nursing, residential, food service, and ancillary teams to support the nutritional well-being of individuals served. The Graduate Nutrition Professional helps ensure the implementation of special diets, supports nutrition education, and contributes to regulatory compliance through documentation, observation, and training.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Record and Monitor Individual Weights
Conduct Nutrition-Related Audits and Observations
Food Log and Calorie Count Review
Meal Service Support
Communication and Follow-Up
Menu and Special Diet List Oversight
Staff Training and Education
Meetings and Collaborative Initiatives
- Assessment Support
REQUIREMENTS:
- Completed a minimum of a master's degree granted by a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education (USDE) recognized accrediting agency or foreign equivalent, and coursework through an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited Didactic (DPD), Coordinated (CP), Graduate Program (GP) or Foreign (FDE) program.
- Completed required supervised practice/experience through an ACEND-accredited Dietetic Internship (DI), Coordinated (CP), Graduate Program (GP), or an Individualized Supervised Practice Pathway (ISPP) offered through an ACEND-accredited program.
- Eligible for national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
